Description

Like many stories the “Cru” collection begins with a meeting. In this case between Ludovic Falédam, founder of Barbadine Design, and the Jesse Company, a French living heritage company. The designer contacted them because he wanted to work with raw earth.

Ludovic wanted to highlight clay brick, which is a very old material that appears today as an alternative for the future because of its unique thermal properties, as well as the small amount of energy required for its production.

“I wanted something brutal, wild for this collection, some objects with proportions that evoke raw art or voodoo without falling into caricature.” Ludovic Falédam.
